My Boss is a 2012 Malayalam romantic comedy film directed by Jeethu Joseph, starringDileep and Mamta Mohandas in the lead roles. It is the third film by Jeethu Joseph who previously directed Detective (2007) and Mummy & Me (2010). The film is produced byEast Coast Vijayan under the banner of East Coast Communications. It was filmed in Mumbai and various locales in Kerala.

The film is set in the backdrop of IT industry. Dileep appears as a young software engineer working in Mumbai and who aspires to migrate to a foreign country while Mamta plays the role of his boss. An adaptation of the 2009 Hollywood film The Proposal which starred Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, My Boss released in Kerala on 10 November 2012, received a grand opening and turned out to be a commercial success.

My Boss - Average 'scanning quality' of the English movie "The Proposal"

VERDICT: If you've seen "The proposal", then please don't waste your time on this! There's nothing much to offer.

In other words, if you r a big fan of Mamta like me:),and still enjoys Dileep's slap-stick comedy,its a ONE TIME WATCH. Thanks to Anne Flectcher (maker of "The proposal") and star movies for making and playing this movie so that any fool can watch it and try to copy!

FINAL VERDICT:Either you can opt to watch in theatre or wait for DVD if you really want to push time!

Pros
Dileep's hero character who wants to run-away from Kerala and settle in Europe was a refreshing feel unlike the typical nostalgic ones. Techie hero who has the regional accent influence in English was a nice representation of 95% techies in India who believes "mine is neutral accent whereas all others speak regional English" which really helped the movie to be portrayed as "today's life". Dileep's ability to improvise the dialgoues & slap-stick has protected many amateur directors in the past also. Last in that list is Jithu Joseoh! Apart from all these,can't miss to mention about the gorgeous mamtha- her looks, attitude, acting all makes her unique among her peer typical kerala heroines. Gifted Actor Sai Kumar has got a decent variety character. Beauty of alleppey & kuttanadu will never bore anyone in the word even if you see it in 10000 movies!
Cons
When you copy a movie to malayalam, at least director should ensure that it should b something we haven't seen in the past. No justice when you receive remuneration of 25 lakhs and copy such recent movies scene by scene! Atleast in titles director could've added a small title "inspired by the proposal'! The interesting plot in first half has terribly went worse in 2nd. Very very very predictable story line that we've seen in 100 movies has been repeated here as well! Director totally lost his track because 2nd half in English cannot b easily 'converted' to malayalm ambience. Hero who got beaten by a goonda in one scene, single handedly fights with 4 goonda's later without any body building! wah!

Dileep's movie

Its a typical dileep movie.Film filled with dileep's comedies.kalabhavan shajon also did well in his small role.Saikumar,seetha also did well in their roles.If film is for entertainment then its watchable.Not so great story or anything.A good entertainer.
